How to create a 401k safe harbor match.
Step 1: From the New Proposal Dropdown select "Single Defined Contribution Plan"
Step 2: The Preset Plan Design" grid will be displayed. Click the radio button for "Safe Harbor Match" to enable the editable settings for the proposal.
Step 3: The app will display the default settings for the parameters that can be modified prior to proposal generation. Modify any of the settings by clicking on the box holding the default value or the button to display the subgrid, enter your selection, and click the save button. (Please Note: Leaving the Employee Deferral % setting to 0.00 will tell the system to use $0 unless a value is entered in the Employee's Employee Grid. Amounts can be modified after the proposal is generated. )
Step 4: Click the "Create New Illustration Button" to create your illustration.
Step 5: Click the Design Grid Tab to display your allocation results and make allocation and rate group changes. You can do this by clicking "Edit Participant Settings."
Step 6: Review the "Testing Tab" for testing results for all required discrimination and limitation tests. A test result with a warning message is an alert. If there is a test failure, the failure results with display, and the presentation button will be disabled until all failures are corrected.
Step 7: Click the Presentations Button to print a deliverable illustration in .pdf form.
